Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Fun

We were in Granbury for the fourth with our family. Many events occured. Follow the pictures, they'll tell you the story.

Cousin Cammie and Gabby both got their faces painted at the town square craft fair.
The whole fam came out to enjoy turkey legs and corn dogs for lunch.
See how red the kids faces are. It was that hot!
Cousins posing in front of a statue in front of the courthouse.
Gabby and Daddy ride the jet ski!!! Mommy couldn't due to the whole pregnancy thing.
What a little model getting ready to be pulled in the intertube by Granddaddy's boat.
Alex enjoyed a boat ride while chomping into an apple.
Smores for everyone!!! Check out Gabby's face.
Alex liked to eat his smore in stages
Chad catching a marshmallow on fire.

The view from the lake. The party boat was going by at sunset and the fireworks show was just beginning. The whole family watched at the edge of the cliff next to the lake. It was a beautiful site.

Well, after reading this I am even more sad about our not being able to go to Granbury for the 4th due to my trip to Europe. I LOVE "small town" 4th of Julys, and Granbury's is pretty much perfect. We'll see you there next year!!!! Hey - good thought: You guys need to sit at my dad's office to watch the parade with us next year. (It's on the parade route (right before the square), and it's great b/c he opens up his office during the parade so people can cool off - especially those of us with small kids- and it sure nice having a bathroom right there!! He blocks off his parking lot the night before and only opens it up to those we choose for the morning of the parade - therefore, it's not horribly crowded!)
