Boy in a Box

Ode to Our Little Ballerina

Gabby's 2nd dance recital is just days away, and I thought it would be neat to see how much she has changed since first beginning dance. This year she will be doing both a tap and ballet performance.

Bubble Time

Just wanted to share this cool pic of bubble time. Alex is so thrilled to chase the bubbles his sister makes. It is so fun to see them play together. Priceless moments...

Zzzzzzzz

Alex could barely make it through his lunch today. It was hilarious watching him nod off while still trying to chew his fruit. Poor little guy. He's still getting used to the one nap a day.

Yee-haw

Gabby's preschool had open house this past Tuesday night. The theme was cowboys and cowgirls. We enjoyed taking a look around her classroom and see her with her buddies. She gave a spectacular performance singing, "Five Little Cowboys."

Gido Helps With T-Ball

Thanks Gido for all of your help. I am sure Gabby will show how much she learned at her next T-Ball game this Saturday!!!!

Easter 2008

Now I am getting the hang of this posting stuff. I am sort of playing catch up but who cares...it's fun! Here is some Easter pics. We shared Easter at Aunt Sharon's house where we enjoyed an enormous meal followed by numerous egg hunts and outdoor games. The older grown ups in the family were even kind enough to hide eggs for our generation at Lantern Lane Elementary. There were 8 golden eggs that each held five dollars. I am sorry to say that they were hid sooo well that two eggs were left behind. Maybe someday there will be a lucky kid that will happen upon the missing eggs. Overall, we had a fantastic day with family. We are constantly reminded how very lucky we are to share these special moments with our children.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Well, as my first tidbit in the Dick family diaries, I thought what better thing to share than our regular Saturday spot at the T-ball fields. Gabby has not only been involved in dancing at Robin's but now she is a full-fledged t-baller. As being part of a T-ball team, there have many interesting and hilarious moments from batters running to third instead of first, suspenseful times of yelling to run the bases and just straight up daisy pickin' in the outfields. All of these moments enjoyable and priceless. Alex loves going to the fields on practice days and game days. He usually spends his time running around andthrowing one of Gabby's pink softballs or climbing on one of the many playgrounds nearby.
